Journeyed to the end of the central line and into suburbia to find these timecapsule warehouses full of junk and treasures from the past; I particularly liked the horribly fake desserts and this stark vacancy sign, although look who's already done that!
Whilst I didn't find anything I'd use, I was given the details of a place that does have lots of potential props. I'm just trying to see what will a.) fit in the studio and b.) fit my budget.

what are exactly these places Joanne?
It looks like you ve stepped into retro heaven!
I would really like to visit one of those.
Where are they? Do they sell/ rent all that you're showing? I'm enjoying seeing the look surrounding your project.
Thanks Ana,
they are prop companies that hire out objects to the film industry mainly. It was retro heaven, they even had things like the old school Cadbury's Roses boxes and a great collection of Jesus paraphenalia (flashing none-the-less!). They are usually outside of London or in the 'burbs, such as this one in Acton, near the film studios. Everything was a bit dusty but waiting to be rediscovered. I was thinking about buying a picture of a chicken in lederhosen but thought better of it so I'm not sure if they sell things.
You're going to have to send me the addresses of these places...!
